Iran Opens First Space Monitoring Center

Iran inaugurated it's new space monitoring center, on Sunday.

The Imam Jafar Sadiq Space Monitoring Center is Iran's first such center.

It will be responsible for monitoring all traffic in space, whether it be satellites, asteroids, or the unknown.

President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and Defense Minister Ahmad Vahidi attended the ceremony.

Vahidi said that monitoring space traffic was an important part of Iranian national security, as there are many dangers to be found in space.

He went on to say that Iran will consider selling it's date to other countries.

Lebanese Military Blocks Beirut Streets After Hezbollah Kills Protester

Tanks and armored personnel carriers took to the streets of Beirut, on Sunday.

The Lebanese city had seen protests start the day.

Sunnis, Shiites, and Christians took to the streets in either protest or support of Hezbollah's increased involvement in the Syrian civil war.

A group of Shiites began a protest in front of the Iranian embassy and were met by Hezbollah members, who opened fire on the protesters.

One protester was killed and several more were injured.

Lebanon responded by sending the military out to enforce peace on the streets.

Intersections were blocked with military vehicles and barbed wire check points.

The country fears that Hezbollah's involvement in Syria's war, will involve Lebanon in it as well.

It may well be too late for Lebanon to avoid that fate.
