Train Carrying Hazardous Materials Derails
A train carrying hazardous materials derailed in Calgary, Alberta, Thursday morning.
Six cars of the train derailed and partially fell through a bridge.
Five of those cars were carrying a flammable liquid that may have been diesel fuel, while the sixth was empty.
Luckily no leaks were reported and all of the cars remained upright.
Crews are working to ensure the bridge does not collapse any further, sending the train further down into the river.
Once that is accomplished they will work to recover the rail cars.
Officials believe that the bridge was damaged in last week's flooding.
However, they did state that the bridge had been inspected on Saturday and the tracks on Monday.
