7 Injured in Explosion at New York College

Seven people were injured when an explosion tore through a building on a college campus, in New York.

It happened Tuesday morning, on the campus of Nyack College.

None of the injuries were believed to be serious.

The cause of the explosion is under investigation, but it is believed to have been caused by natural gas.

US Army: Warrant Officer Sean W. Mullen

Warrant Officer Sean W. Mullen, thirty-nine of Dover, Delaware, died on June 2.

He was killed when his unit was attacked with an improvised explosive device, in Lashkar Gah, Afghanistan.

Mullen was assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 5th Special Forces Group (Airborne) out of Fort Campbell, Kentucky.

Among his completed courses were: Special Forces Qualification Course, Warrant Officer Technical and Tactical Certification Course, Advanced Special Operations Technical Course, Special Forces Medical Course, Special Operations Combat Medical Skills Sustainment Course, Total Army Instructor Training Course, Warrior Leader Course, Advanced Leader Course, Senior Leader Course, Combat Life Savers Course; Survival, Evasion, Resistance, and Escape Course; Combatives Level 1, Pathfinder Course, Static Line Jumpmaster Course, Infantry Mortar Leaders Course, and Airborne Course.

His decorations include: Bronze Star with oak leaf cluster, Meritorious Service Medal with oak leaf cluster, Army Commendation Medal with two oak leaf clusters, Joint Service Achievement Medal, Army Achievement Medal with seven oak leaf clusters, Good Conduct Medal with four knots, National Defense Service Medal, Afghanistan Campaign Medal with two campaign stars, Iraq Campaign Medal with three campaign stars, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Korea Defense Service Medal, Armed Forces Service Medal, Non-commissioned Officer Professional Development Ribbon with numeral two, Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon with one oak leaf cluster, Army Reserve Component Overseas Training Ribbon, Joint Unit Meritorious Award, Army Meritorious Unit Commendation Award with one oak leaf cluster, Special Forces Tab, Combat Infantryman Badge, Expert Infantryman Badge, Pathfinder Badge, Air Assault Badge, Parachutist Badge, and Senior Parachutist Badge.
