2 Injured After Colorado Springs Plane Crash

Two people were injured in a plane crash in Colorado Springs, on Wednesday morning.

The Cessna lost all power just after take off and came down in a field not far from Colorado Springs Airport.

Both aboard the plane suffered minor injuries.

Peterson Air Force Base's west gate was closed for a time, due to the incident.

A spokesman for the base said that it was to keep traffic out of the way of emergency personnel.

The National Transportation Safety Board is investigating the incident.

Keita Inaugurated in Mali

Ibrahim Boubacar Keita was inaugurated as the new president of Mali, on Wednesday.

Keita, a former prime minister pledged to restore unity in the country.

Last year rebel forces backed by Al Qaeda swept through most of the nation.

A military coup took place during the invasion, as the civilian government was seen as too weak to deal with the threat.


In January, French troops came to the rescue stopping the Al Qaeda surge and then were joined by African Union forces in pushing them out of Mali.

With the nation no longer under threat of being overwhelmed, Malians went to the polls in July.

Nearly thirteen thousand African Union troops remain in the country, to ensure peace.

7 Arrested at Temple Mount in Jerusalem

Seven people were arrested on the Temple Mount, in Jerusalem, on Wednesday.

About three hundred people tried blocking the path up to the mount.

They then began throwing rocks and other objects at those gathered to visit the holy site.

As security forces moved in most of the mob fled, while others hid in Al Aqsa mosque.

Police detained seven of the rock throwers and maintained a stronger presence to ensure the mount stayed open to all visitors.

Pollution Kills Hundreds of Thousands of Fish in China

Hundreds of thousands of fish were killed off in China, by pollution.

Their bodies covered the surface of twenty-five miles of the Fu River.

Officials say that a nearby chemical manufacturer leaked ammonia into the river.

Shuanghuan Science and Technology, is being forced to pay for the clean up.

The ecological disaster will also harm the local economy, most of which is based off of fishing.
