LoDo Shooting Leaves 1 Airman Dead Another Wounded

A US airman was killed in a shooting at 15th and Market, early Saturday morning, in Denver.

Another airman was wounded when six shots were fired.

Police shut down the area from 15th to 16th and Market to Larmier, during the investigation.

At this time police do not have any details about a subject.

Both of the airmen were stationed at Buckley Air Force Base.

Typhoon Soulik Kills 1 in Taiwan

Taiwanese officials have confirmed a death due to Typhoon Soulik, after a police officer was struck by bricks knocked off a building, by the storm.

Dozens more have been injured by falling objects or simply by the strength of the winds knocking the down.

Fifty thousand soldiers have been placed on standby to help with cleanup.

In China, more than three hundred thousand people have been evacuated from coastal regions, as the storm causes massive waves to strike the shore.

Reports of injuries and damage have already begun to come in.

7 UN Peacekeepers Killed in Darfur

UN peacekeepers in Darfur were ambushed near Manawashi, Saturday morning.

They were in a convoy when a much larger force opened fire on them.

Seven peacekeepers were killed and seventeen wounded before the attack ended.

No one has claimed responsibility for the attack.
