Alter Holds Romney Responsible For Future Deaths

Jonathan Alter was on MSNBC Thursday night when he attacked Mitt Romney, whilst defending Obamacare.

During his time on air, Alter said, "What we are saying is that if he's elected president, a lot of people will die. That is not an exaggeration. That is not crying fire. It's a simple fact."

Alter further claimed that anyone in the United States, who died if Obamacare is repealed, would be the responsibility of Romney.

Yes, poor Romney, would be responsible for the death's of every individual American who dies during his presidency, unless he backs Obamacare.

Nothing like fear mongering, is there Mr. Alter?

It's not like deaths wouldn't happen if Obamacare is fully implemented. Or is that in the parts no one read? That if we accept the yoke of Obamacare, they'll release the answer to curing all diseases?

Maybe Alter has some information I do not.

We should note that the intense decrease in ER response time and availability will cost lives. That doctor's deciding for us whether they should fight to save a life or not, will cost lives. That the planned forced abortions, of unborn that might have mental or physical issues, upon the decision of a medical committee, will cost lives.

Will we then hold Obama, and Mr. Alter, responsible?

Emails and Encrypted Passwords Stolen From Blizzard

Blizzard let it be known that their security was breached on Thursday.

Emails for all users were taken, as well as passwords.

All of the passwords were still encrypted, so they weren't automatically allowing entry into accounts.

The company is sure that their encryption will stand the test, but advises all users to change their passwords immediately, anyways.

Personal security question and mobile and dial-in authentication information were also accessed, but financial information such as credit cards, billing addresses, or real names were not compromised.

Law enforcement is involved, and Blizzard is hoping that the hackers will be caught.

Mitchell Finishes Race With Broken Leg

Twenty-five year old sprinter, Manteo Mitchell, was one of four running in a US team which set a new record for relay, yet he is the one getting the most notice.

Mitchell had the first leg of the 4x400 relay.

Halfway through it he felt a pop, and knew it was bad news.

Facing the decision of quitting, and losing the race for his team, or continuing on; Manteo chose to keep running.

He finished his part, and then limped to the sidelines.

A few hours later it was confirmed that he had run the last two hundred meters with a broken left fibula.

His Olympics are over, but he clearly showed great team spirit, and will now be an inspiration to many.

Bosnian Fires Entering Minefields

Bosnian fire fighters have reached a new danger level.

The two fires they are fighting near Konjic are not just approaching the houses in the town, but an ammunition factory.

To make matters even worse, one of the fires has started burning through a mine field, which was placed during the 1990s war.

Heat from the fire is setting off the mines, making it impossible for firefighters to get close to the flames.

Heavy winds have also hampered the fight, by keeping helicopters and aircraft grounded.

Other fires are burning elsewhere in the country, which is facing historical heat.

Nowhere in Bosnia has seen rain in over two months.

GE Dishwasher Recall

GE has announced a recall of more than 1.3 million dishwashers.

GE, GE Adora, GE Eterna, GE Profile and Hotpoint dishwashers are affected by the recall.

The dishwashers were sold nationwide from March 2006 through August 2009.

Heating elements, in the washers, can fail causing fires.

Several incidents of that occurring have been reported, three caused extensive damages, luckily none have caused injuries.

People are warned to immediately stop using the dishwashers.

The government is telling consumers to not return the machines, but to contact GE so that they can send repairmen out.

Underground Religious Sect Discovered

Last week, an underground religious sect was discovered in Kazan, Russia.

More than seventy members were discovered by authorities, with ages ranging from eighty-three years old to eighteen months, and at least one unborn child.

Formed by Fayzrahman Satarov, none of them had been above ground for at least twenty years.

Several of their number had never ever seen the sky or sun, as they'd been born in the eight story basement complex.

No arrests have been made, but investigators are deciding if they'll press charges for child abuse.

The group has been warned that it will be forced to disband if it continues to commit illegal activities, such as stopping its members from seeking medical assistance or education.

Anthrax Kills 50 Cattle in Colorado

Authorities in Colorado have confirmed that fifty cattle were killed by anthrax.

All the dead cows were found on a Logan County ranch.

The ranch has been quarantined, and the Colorado Department of Agriculture has little worry about it spreading to others.

Health officials are a little worried that some humans may have come into contact with the herd, as it is possible for them to become infected.

It's been thirty-one years since there was an anthrax outbreak in Colorado.

Anthrax can develop on it's own, during drought times, so many states in the US are on the lookout for it, due to the worst drought in decades.

The infection can be treated with antibiotics, if caught during the early stages.

First Female NFL Ref Thankful

Shannon Eastin will be making history on Thursday night, as she becomes the first woman to referee a professional football game.

Eastin has been a football official for seventeen years, working in various other leagues til now, as well as in some basketball leagues.

She is getting this chance because the regular football officials are in a lockout with the league, and she was one of the most promising replacements.

A master of judo, she's used to being the first into various areas; but growing up her first passion was always football, and she's glad to work with it.

Her thanks have gone out to the entire NFL, but specifically certain players who have been extremely welcoming to her.

Starbucks Partnering With Square

Starbucks announced on Wednesday that it will be partnering with Square.

Square is a phone app that allows you to pay without pulling out a card or cash.

When you are ready to pay at a location, that uses Square, your name and picture show up on the screen of the register.

By giving the cashier your name, it confirms your identity, the charge is added to your tab, which is then pulled by Square from your account.

The app is even capable of letting you know about nearby locations that are using it, giving you discounts the first time you try a place.

Starbucks is also going to be investing twenty-five million dollars into Square, Starbucks chief executive Howard Schultz will be joining Square's board of directors.

Drought Good News For Wine

The drought might be bad news for most people, but for one industry it's actually good news.

Wineries around the country are hoping that the rains will hold off for a few more weeks.

Excess water in grapes dilutes the flavor, especially right before harvest.

For US wineries, harvest comes in September, and rains right before harvest would cause the most dilution.

Thanks to a warmer than usual spring, coupled with the extra hot and dry summer, most US wineries expect to have one of their best years.
