Migrants Evicted From Spanish Island

In a joint operation between Spain and Morocco, migrants were removed from a Spanish island off the Moroccan coast.

Over the last few days, nearly one hundred people had swam from Morocco to the island.

Spain had provided food, water, and blankets but could not allow them a permanent place.

A few of the people were taken to Melilla, Spain for medical reasons, but the majority were taken back to Morocco and then deported.

Spanish Foreign Minister Jose Manuel Garcia Margallo blamed the arrival of the people on human traffickers.

Security at Melilla and Ceuta, both of which are on the African coast but part of Spain, has been increased to keep more illegals from wandering in.

Tide Rolls Into Number One Spot

Alabama's NCAA football is now ranked number one in the country.

In doing so they knocked USC out of the top spot.

Both teams won over the weekend, but voters clearly felt Alabama's victory over Michigan to be of greater importance than USC's over Hawaii.

It was the eighty-sixth time in the history of the AP poll that the number one team dropped, despite winning.

Apple IDs Stolen and Leaked

A group of hackers has release one million Apple identification numbers for iPads, iPhones, and iPod touch's.

To make matters more interesting, they claim to have taken the numbers from an FBI list.

The list supposedly also included "user names, name of device, type of device, Apple Push Notification Service tokens, zipcodes, cellphone numbers, addresses, etc." according to a post made by the hackers.

They claim that there a total of 12,367,232 entrees on the list, and state they are prepared to release them all.

At this point they've only released the ID numbers, and no other information.

For the most part the hackers seem to be out to embarrass the FBI and other government agencies, as well as proving to people that the government is tracking them, but their posting also included some shout outs and demands.

Users of the devices should change their information as soon as possible.

Michael Strahan Officially Joins Live

Well it's all now official, after having been leaked two weeks ago.

The new cohost of Live will be Michael Strahan.

For two hundred episodes, fifty-nine different guest hosts tried out for the spot, but only Strahan really clicked with Kelly Ripa.

The former NFL player is very popular with the public, and has been doing Fox NFL shows, as well as guest appearing on various TV shows.

It's been nine months since the show removed Regis Philbin from the show.

The show is not entitled Live with Kelly and Michael.

Blue to Gold: ARMY Spc. Kyle R. Rookey

ARMY Spc. Kyle R. Rookey, 23, of Oswego, NY, died Sept. 2, in Jalalabad, Afghanistan.  Rookey was assisgned to the 4th Brigade Special Troops Battalion, 4th Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division. He was from Oswego, N.Y.

France Hits Ten Percent Unemployment

On Monday, the number of unemployed in France reached three million.

Unemployment has not been that high since 1999.

The three million mark is huge in the country, as it means that they've reached ten percent.

President Francois Hollande has promised that he will lower unemployment.

Hitting the big mark will increase pressure, on the administration that is not even in it's fourth month.

First Twitter Wedding

On Sunday, Twitter saw it's first wedding.

Candan Canik and Cengizhan Celik we literally married on Twitter.

Their entire ceremony took place via it.

Uskudar Mayor Mustafa Kara performed the ceremony on the social network, retweeting when the couple said "I do".

Four Striking Miners Injured in Riot

Security guards at the Gold One mine, in Johannesburg, wounded four people with rubber bullets, on Monday.

The guards fired into a mob of strikers who were attacking miners who were trying to get to work.

Police joined the guards with rubber bullets and tear gas.

All four of the injured strikers were later released from the hospital.

It was only three weeks ago that thirty-four striking miners were killed at another mine, when they attacked police.

Riots Continue in Belfast

Over the last two days forty-seven police officers have been injured in Belfast, several of whom are hospitalized.

Rioters have been assaulting them with bricks, stones, petrol bombs, fireworks, and bottles.

The officers had been present to keep Protestant protesters apart from a Catholic parade, but both sides turned on them.

Police have been forced to use water cannons and plastic bullets in self defense.

A section of the city has been shut down, in hopes of maintaining order.

So far, only one arrest has been made, but police are reviewing various security cameras, in the area, with the aim of prosecuting those responsible for injuring officers and causing the disturbance.

Some have accused President Obama of not getting anywhere with his Presidency.

One commercial put out by the Republican Party takes a look at how much candidate Obama has in common with the Presidential version.

There isn't much of a difference, still pretty much the same message.
