M23 troops roll and march into Goma

M23 rebels have taken Goma, Congo, one of it's most important cities.

The thriving economic city fell extremely easily, on Tuesday.

United Nations troops, which had pledged to help protect the city, watched M23 take over the town, without firing a shot.

Congolese national troops, upon seeing the UN doing nothing, ran and left the city behind.

As the news reached other cities, riots began, as the people protested the weakness of their government.

While the M23 rebels only number a few thousand, they have been given aid from Rwanda.

It is unclear why the UN troops abandoned their pledge to Congo, but accusations of their leaders being paid off, have begun.

Preview: Red Dawn (2012)

The remake of Red Dawn is almost here.

In the original, Communists from Central America and the USSR teamed up to conquer part of the US, for a while.

With the remake, it's the North Koreans who invade and manage to take over parts of the US.

Instead of Colorado, the remake takes place in Washington, with them fleeing Seattle, instead of a small town.

Another big change is that the older brother, played by Chris Hemsworth (yes, Thor's little brother), isn't a high school senior, he's now a Marine on leave.

"Wolverines!", their high school's mascot, still becomes their mark and rallying cry, as they try to take a new secret weapon, that allowed the North Koreans to win the first part of the war.

The movie has already been redone once before, in Australia, Tomorrow, When The War Began.

Red Dawn hits theaters Wednesday, November 21.

Deer Attacks Two Texas Men

Two Texas men were attacked by a deer, on Monday.

They were standing by their truck when the deer came up and poked the one man with it's antlers.

It then started moving more aggressively, so they jumped into the bed of the truck.

The deer then proceeded to attack the truck a bit, grabbing a pack of cigarettes from the cab.

Police and the game warden responded to the men's cries for help.

It eventually took five men and a taser to subdue the deer.

One police officer suffered a broken wrist and most of the men suffered scrapes from the animal.

The deer was later released, unharmed.

4 Los Angeles Men Arrested for Plotting to Join Al Qaeda

Four Los Angeles men were arrested, Monday night, for plotting to join Al Qaeda and commit terrorist attacks against the US.

The four were led by Sohiel Omar Kabir, who introduced them to the works and teachings of Anwar Awlaki, a radical Muslim cleric killed in 2011.

While Kabir was in Afghanistan, meeting with Al Qaeda representatives, to plan their training, he communicated with the others on Facebook and Skype

Two of the men tried enlisting an FBI informant as part of their group, which began the investigation.

Kabir was arrested in Afghanistan, while his followers were arrested by the Joint Terrorism Task Force, in Los Angeles.

Two Dead in Car vs Pedestrian Accident in Littleton

Two people were killed after a car hit them, in Littleton, Colorado.

An SUV lost control at the intersection of Broadway and C470, striking two pedestrians.

The driver was taken to a hospital, with injuries.

Both of the victims were working for Concrete Works of Colorado.

Broadway has been closed in both directions, between County Line and Dad Clark Road.

There is construction taking place at the intersection.

Polish Police Stop Plot to Blow up Parliament

Polish police say they have made arrests in a plot to blow up Parliament.

Two men were arrested and enough explosives to build a four ton bomb were confiscated, as were body armor, guns, and hundreds of rounds of ammunition.

The men had connections to Anders Breivik, who in 2011 killed seventy-seven people with his combination of bomb and shooting, in Norway.

Connections between him and the men, spawned the investigation.

Their plan was to blow up Parliament, on an occasion when all government officials would be present.

Prime Minister Donald Tusk said, "Let this be a signal to all of us that we should be wise from harm, and renounce the language of hatred and violence in the public debate", during a speech in which he congratulated police on their work.

13 Year Old Girl Killed in Florida School Bus Shooting

An unidentified thirteen year old girl was shot and killed, inside her school bus, on Tuesday.

The shooting occurred at the intersection of 137th Avenue and Southwest 296th Street, in Homestead, Florida.

Police have arrested an unidentified male student, in the shooting.

No further information has been released, at this time.

Press, police, counselors, and parents are gathering at Somerset Academy Silver Palms.

The school says that, "At this time we are aware there's a community situation, Somerset Silver Palms is in normal education mode."

UK Recognizes Syrian Opposition Coalition

Tuesday, in Parliament, Foreign Secretary William Hague made the United Kingdom the ninth country, and second western country, to recognize the Syrian opposition coalition as the rightful representative of Syria.

Furthermore, the UK has invited the coalition to send an ambassador and will grant the coalition 1.6 million pounds, for "communications equipment".

This comes just one day after a group claiming to be part of the Syrian rebellion, rejected the coalition's leadership.

Meanwhile, fighting continues all over Syria.

Republican Guard troops are focusing on retaking parts of Damascus, from the Free Syrian Army.

Over one hundred people have been killed, on Tuesday alone.

Around thirty thousand people have been killed over the twenty month long conflict.

NATO has agreed to give Turkey Patriot missile systems, to set up along the border, to defend against Syria.

Some see this as the first step towards enforcing a no fly zone, over Syria.

IDF Corporal Yosef Fartuk

Corporal Yosef Fartuk, eighteen, was killed November 20, 2012 by a rocket from Gaza.

Fartuk, a member of Tank Battalion 7, was from Emmanuel, Israel.

Yosef had always dreamed of becoming a combat soldier.

He is one of five Israeli victims of the Gazan terror rockets, this week, the first IDF soldier.

His funeral will take place on Wednesday at 1:30pm IST at the Givat Shaul cemetery in Jerusalem.

Hamas and Israel Say Close to Cease Fire as Violence Escalates

Hamas spokesman Ayman Taha claims that Hamas and Israel have reached a cease fire agreement, that would go into effect at midnight IST, or 3pm MST. However, Israel says that no agreement has been reached, yet, but that things are close.

Egyptian President Mohamed Mursi had promised that a ceasefire would be reached sometime on Tuesday. US Secretary of State Hilary Clinton is on here way to Jerusalem, to meet with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

Around one hundred and fifty rockets have been fired out of Gaza today, including yet another one aimed at Jerusalem. The one meant for Jerusalem missed, and hit Palestinian territory in the West Bank. Air strikes in retaliation have been carried out, by the Israeli Defense Forces, aimed at launch sites, ammunition supplies, and Hamas' bank. Israeli Defence Minister Ehud Barak stated that the IDF are fully set for a ground invasion, if necessary.

Hamas drags body of executed man through the streets.

Tuesday's violence saw IDF Corporal Yosef Fartuk and an Israeli civilian killed, eight Israeli soldiers and thirteen more Israeli civilians wounded, and six more Gazans killed. Six more Gazans were executed by Hamas, after they were accused of being sympathetic to Israel. Hamas then had one of the bodies drug through the streets.

The storm of rockets, coming out of Gaza, has held up Israel's supply of food to the region. Israel has kept up the supply, despite the violence, til now when Hamas has aimed some of their rockets, at the Kerem Shalom border crossing. During the violence the crossing has also been used to allow wounded Gazans to cross into Israel, for medical treatment.

Meanwhile, in the West Bank, anti Israeli protests continued their violent trend. Once again multiple border crossings saw hundreds of Palestinians, throwing rocks and gas bombs, charge Israeli troops, protecting the border. The IDF responded with tear gas and rubber bullets.

In parts of Israel, resident Palestinians have also turned violent. There have been over a dozen reports of rocks and gas bombs being thrown not just at IDF personnel and police, but at civilians as well. And in Tel Aviv a pitchfork wielding man attack guards outside of the US embassy, injuring at least one of the guards.
