Dagestan Explosions Kill 1

Two explosions tore through neighboring stores, in Makhachkala, Dagestan, Russia.

Wednesday afternoon's bombing killed one and injured thirteen.

No one has claimed responsibility for the attack.

Dagestan has repeatedly been a target for terrorist activity, especially in it's capital city of Makhachkala.

Cairo Students Protest Arrest of Muslim Brotherhood Leader

Students from al-Azhar University, in Cairo, protested against the military and government, on Wednesday.

The protest erupted after it was released that police had located and arrested a Muslim Brotherhood leader.

Police fired tear gas to end the protest, and no injuries were reported.

Al-Azhar has been a center for protests since former president Morsi was removed from power.

Bombings in Iraq Kill 19

Nineteen people were killed in two bombings, in Iraq, on Wednesday.

In Mosul, a suicide bomber drove his car into a checkpoint, killing eight people.

Two suicide bombers struck the home of Saeed Jassim, leader of the Sahwa Sunni militia, in northern Baghdad.

Eleven people were killed and nineteen wounded in the attack, though Jassim was unhurt.

No one has claimed responsibility for the attacks, though the targets would suggest that Sunni extremists were behind them.

Bus Crash Kills 45 in India

Forty-five people were killed when a bus caught fire, in Mahabubnagar district of Andhra Pradesh, India.

Only seven people escaped Wednesday morning's accident, and they all have severe burns.

Officials say that the bus's gas tank scraped the roadside culvert, causing a leak and sparks.

The bus was quickly consumed by fire.

A criminal investigation is already being launched, as the bus was only rated to carry forty-five.

Haboob Kills 3 in Arizona

Three people were killed when a haboob caused a pileup in Arizona.

The dust storm had dropped visibility to less than ten feet, when the first accident occurred.

By the time it was over nineteen vehicles were part of the crash and three people were killed and thirteen injured.

It happened just north of Picacho Peak, on Interstate 10.

The 10 was closed, in both directions, for several hours while the clean up took place.

15 Killed by Massive Storm in Europe

Europe felt the force of a massive storm on Tuesday.

The storm had dealt the UK a blow on Sunday and Monday, killing four.

It's near hurricane forces caused damage across much of southern England.

As it went through western and central Europe, it continued knocking down trees, knocking out electricity, and injuring dozens.

Seven people were killed in Germany, two in Denmark, and one each in France and the Netherlands.

Estonia, Latvia, and Sweden were also facing difficulties from the storm.

Plane Crashes Near Colorado Homes

A small plane crashed near Castle Rock, Colorado, Monday evening.

Authorities say that fog helped cause the crash.

The aircraft caught a power line and came down about fifty feet from houses.

Officials said that the pilot had reported problems with ice, just before the crash occurred.

She was injured in the crash, but was able to escape the plane under her own power.

The Federal Aviation Administration is investigating the crash.

Aurora Police Looking for Attempted Kidnapper

Early Monday morning a man broke into an Aurora, Colorado house and attempted to kidnap an eight year old.

The girl escaped, after screaming and fighting, with minor cuts from broken glass.

Her father came running and was able to grab a glimpse of the would be kidnapper's car.

Police say the suspect is white male, with blonde hair, who was wearing a black winter style jacket.

His vehicle is a silver or grey, newer model, BMW.

Massive Storm Kills 4 in The UK

Four people died as a result of massive storm, which tore through the UK, on Monday.

With winds over seventy miles an hour, the storm fell just short of hurricane strength.

The winds knocked down hundreds of trees, across the southern UK.

Two of the dead were killed by falling trees, while the other two were killed in a gas explosion.

The gas explosion injured another three people, destroyed three houses, and damaged two other homes.

Officials believe that a falling tree caused the explosion.

Trains, flights, and highways were cancelled, closed, and delayed by the storm.

Electricity was knocked out to nearly half a million people.

All services are expected to be back to normal on Tuesday.

Iron Dome Intercepts Rocket Aimed at Israel

An Israeli Iron Dome battery shot down a rocket aimed at the town of Ashkelon, early Monday morning.

A second rocket struck outside of town, in an unpopulated area.

The Israeli Air Force responded by firing missiles at both launch sites.

No injuries were reported, on either side.

Israeli Defense Forces pointed out that the terrorist rockets were aimed at a town of one hundred and thirteen thousand.
