Shooters Kill 2 at Golden Dawn Headquarters in Athens

Two gunmen on a motorcycle sprayed fire at the Golden Dawn headquarters, in Athens, Friday evening.

They killed two people, who had been standing outside, and wounded a third.

It is not known who carried out the attack.

There are strong fears that the neo fascist Golden Dawn party will use the shooting as an excuse for violent actions.

The group has already been in trouble for violent acts, in the past.

Public Order Minister Nikos Dendias warned that, "We will not allow the country to become an arena for scores to be settled, for whatever reason".

Taliban Leader Killed in Drone Strike

Hakimullah Mehsud, the leader of the Taliban in Pakistan, was killed by a drone strike, on Friday.

His death was confirmed by the US, Pakistan, and the Taliban.

Four missiles struck the vehicle he was in, killing four other people.

Pakistan complained about the US launching another drone strike, in the country.

However, just days before the Pakistani government had complained that the US wasn't doing enough to help against terrorist forces.

Mehsud had been leading the Taliban, since 2009, when his predecessor was killed by a drone strike.

Officials believe that he is responsible for the deaths of more than one thousand people and for hundreds of terrorist attacks.

It is doubtful that his death will hamper the Taliban for long.

1 Killed in Texas Flash Floods

Torrential rains brought as much as fourteen inches of rain to central Texas, on Thursday.

The rains brought flash floods, which killed one person.

Over one hundred people required rescue, in Austin alone.

At least five hundred homes have been damaged or destroyed by the raging waters.

By the evening, the rain had stopped and the sun was back out.

The east coast is now beginning to feel the storm, for themselves.

Kansas School Bus Plunges Off Bridge

A school bus in Kansas dropped off a bridge, into a swift running creek, on Thursday afternoon.

It happened near Douglass, and the grade schoolers were in the water for several hours.

All ten kids aboard were rescued safely, however the driver was airlifted to the hospital.

A full investigation is underway, to determine what caused the crash.

6.6 Quake Rocks Chile

A 6.6 earthquake rocked northern Chile, on Thursday.

People felt the quake two hundred and fifty miles away in Santiago.

It was powerful enough to shake buildings and knock items off shelves.

No injuries nor major damage was reported.

Jets From Israel Strike Into Syria

Early Thursday morning, Israel jets made an airstrike into Syria.

The strike targeted a convoy of missiles, that was making it's way to Hezbollah.

It struck in Latakia, a key port city.

Syria's president Assad promised that any future air strikes will be retaliated against.

This strike was the third carried out this year, after Israel pledged to keep advanced weapons from reaching Hezbollah and Hamas.

Dagestan Explosions Kill 1

Two explosions tore through neighboring stores, in Makhachkala, Dagestan, Russia.

Wednesday afternoon's bombing killed one and injured thirteen.

No one has claimed responsibility for the attack.

Dagestan has repeatedly been a target for terrorist activity, especially in it's capital city of Makhachkala.

Cairo Students Protest Arrest of Muslim Brotherhood Leader

Students from al-Azhar University, in Cairo, protested against the military and government, on Wednesday.

The protest erupted after it was released that police had located and arrested a Muslim Brotherhood leader.

Police fired tear gas to end the protest, and no injuries were reported.

Al-Azhar has been a center for protests since former president Morsi was removed from power.

Bombings in Iraq Kill 19

Nineteen people were killed in two bombings, in Iraq, on Wednesday.

In Mosul, a suicide bomber drove his car into a checkpoint, killing eight people.

Two suicide bombers struck the home of Saeed Jassim, leader of the Sahwa Sunni militia, in northern Baghdad.

Eleven people were killed and nineteen wounded in the attack, though Jassim was unhurt.

No one has claimed responsibility for the attacks, though the targets would suggest that Sunni extremists were behind them.

Bus Crash Kills 45 in India

Forty-five people were killed when a bus caught fire, in Mahabubnagar district of Andhra Pradesh, India.

Only seven people escaped Wednesday morning's accident, and they all have severe burns.

Officials say that the bus's gas tank scraped the roadside culvert, causing a leak and sparks.

The bus was quickly consumed by fire.

A criminal investigation is already being launched, as the bus was only rated to carry forty-five.
