Boulder Riot Reports False

For a short time a riot was reported in Boulder, Colorado. Initial reports were that a riot broke out, outside of the Fox Theater, on 13th Street.

According to those reports bottles, rocks, and other objects were being thrown by the crowd. Three hundred or so people had gathered to see a free concert, with tickets on a first come basis.

Boulder Police rushed to the scene, some in riot gear, and closed off 13th Street. Scanner traffic suggested that they were authorized to use non lethal weapons, if necessary.

However, only a large noisy crowd, was to be found, and no signs of violence. Cellphone cameras were used by people, in the crowd, to show that nothing was really going on. Police did make the decision to separate the crowd into smaller groups and kept a presence on the scene.

Sangster's Thoughts: Conservative Surrender Movement

There's a growing movement within conservative ranks, which is decidedly unfortunate. They see a state elect a Democrat majority or pass a liberal law and start telling other conservatives to move out of that state. Town by town, city by city, county by county, state by state it has seen conservatives abandon their homes.

So is this how conservatives deal with something they don't like? Run away from it and surrender that state? If that's how you want to keep doing things, you'll soon run out of states to escape to. And then where will you go? There's not exactly another continent available for us to go found a new nation, based on our values.

Is it not a better answer to fight for each state? To keep what we do have, and work on gaining back what we've lost? O some might seem too far gone, for there to be much hope, but does that really mean we should give up on them? Others are just barely across the line and are easily re-takeable.

If we truly do believe in this nation, we need to dig in, not give up another inch, and then get out of the trenches and begin taking the country back. This is a war and we need to begin fighting. We need to be planning for 2014. Not just that we will vote, but who we vote for. Real conservative candidates need to be found, developed, put into place, and supported. It's time for all conservatives to get involved, not just talk about becoming involved.

The United States is not done. There is still hope to recover the greatest nation the world has ever known. Will it be easy? No, every war comes with casualties, even if they don't involve blood. However, it is necessary if we truly believe in what we profess.

Conservatives need to make a decision. Do we truly begin the fight and war which we love to talk about, on Twitter, Facebook, in our blogs, and at conferences? Or do we just give in and join the conservative surrender movement?

Sangster's Thoughts: Should Conservatives Leave Colorado? No! It's a State to Be Proud Of

I've heard a lot of talk lately about why conservative Coloradans should move out of the state, due to the "liberal take over". Almost all of this talk has come from people who do not live here, and in many cases have never been here. Their entire viewpoint is based upon what they hear in the news.

Yes, we suffered a tragedy when lives were taken, in July. Indeed we suffered another when the House went Democrat, leaving both the House and Senate controlled by them. Combined with having a Democrat governor, it means we will seen unfortunate bills passed, such as the unconstitutional gun bills.

But are those really reasons to leave? As Coloradans we live in one of the most beautiful areas on this Earth. We have some of the most amazing mountains, in the world, not to mention all the other magnificent natural attractions there are here. While we might complain about the weather, we enjoy that we truly do get all of the possible seasons, even if they might all happen within hours of each other. Colorado is the future. Whether that be in sports, having every at least one team for practically every sport there is; in the growing food and drink scene, name somewhere else with more microbreweries, and other types are expanding as well; in our amazing music and cultural scene; technologically, such as our spaceport in the works; or many many other areas.

The answer is not surrendering and running away. No, Colorado is something worth defending and fighting for. In 2014, we will have the opportunity to bring a conservative majority back to the House, Senate, and Governorship. In the House, a majority is thirty-three seats, with it currently split thirty-seven Democrats and twenty-eight seats Republican. Only a gain of five seats is needed. Only three seats are needed to regain the Senate, and there are ten Democrats facing the end of their terms. There will also be an election for Governor.

All combined, it means that 2014 could see House, Senate, and Governor go red. 2014 could see Colorado not just become a Republican state, but a Conservative one. If that happens we can repeal the laws which suppress Constitutional rights, and we can see new laws, that actually protect freedom and financial growth, put into place.

For anyone considering leaving Colorado, or not moving here, because of the current political climate, keep those facts in mind. Coloradans are not happy with their government for suppressing gun rights. We will fight to take back our state, in 2014. And as long as our numbers aren't siphoned away, we will win. In fact, that's a very good reason to move to Colorado. Instead of conservatives leaving Colorado, more should come join us.

Bloomberg's Soda Ban Blocked by Judge

New York Supreme Court Judge Milton Tingling blocked New York City's soda ban, on Monday.

The ban, Mayor Bloomberg's creation, was to go into effect, on Tuesday.

Tingling said the regulations were "fraught with arbitrary and capricious consequences".

His ruling came just hours after Bloomberg stated that the ban would have no troubles.

The Mayor's office plans to challenge the judge's ruling.

New York Judge Decides Jews to Be Allowed in Jury

A New York city judge announced that he was rejecting a request for Jews to be excluded from a jury.

The request was made, in February, by the defense attorney for Abdel Hameed Shehadeh.

Shehadeh is on trial for conspiracy to kill Americans in Afghanistan.

His attorney had said, "Given that there's going to be inflammatory testimony about Jews and Zionism, I think it would be hard for Jews to cast aside any innate antipathy."

Prosecutors argued that excluding people based on their ethnicity or religious beliefs would be in violation of the Constitution.

Other Muslims on trial, in the US, have tried to have the same condition put on the jury, and all have had their request denied.

3 Killed When Air Force Plane Crashes in Washington

Monday morning an Air Force EA 6B crashed in Lincoln County, Washington.

All three crew members were killed, in the accident, which completely destroyed the plane.

Air Force officials are investigating the cause of the crash.

The aircraft had been based at Whidbey Island Naval Air Station.

At this time, the identities of the crew have not been released.

Falklanders Voting Whether or not to Stay British

On Monday, residents of the Falkland Islands took to the polls to decide whether or not to stay British.

Ballots ask as simple yes or no question: "Do you wish the Falkland Islands to retain their current political status as an Overseas Territory of the United Kingdom?"

The vote is expected to be a quite clear yes.

Falklanders have spent the last week parading Union Jacks around and decking their vehicles and themselves in red, white, and blue.

The referendum is taking place after Argentina has put all kinds of pressure to reclaim the islands.

Argentina has gone so far as blocking Falkland ships from entering Argentinian ports, and their allies have joined them in the closed harbor initiative.

In 1982, Argentina invaded the islands, only to have a British force liberate them.

Since the war, Britain has stationed thousands of troops on the islands, at great cost to the United Kingdom.

Both Britain and the Falklanders hope that the referendum will put an end to Argentina's bullying, or if not that it will at least bring neutral parties, such as the US, onto their side.

Dead Diseased Pigs Thrown in Shanghai's Water Supply

Nearly three thousand dead pigs have washed ashore on the banks of the Huangpu River.

Farmers upstream have been dumping pigs, that die from an epidemic, into the river, since burying them takes time.

Shanghai gets it's tap water from those waters.

Yet officials say that the water is perfectly safe for drinking.

Public concern is growing over the occurrences which are apparently quite common.

Some people wonder if the pigs have been used by restaurants.

Chinese citizens, across the country, fear that similar things might be being done to their water, as well.

For now the government is content with the status quo, but as public concern grows, they may eventually have to act.

From the Mouth of Matuszak: TX and AZ Want Refugees From CO

In the wake of the Sandy Hook Elementary School tragedy, lawmakers in Colorado have sought measures directed at increasing public safety while decreasing gun related violence in their state.

Second Amendment proponents and advocates of self defense have been following the debate closely. The state's legislation's proposed bills include limiting magazine capacity, limiting what firearms can be legally owned, and limiting where firearms can be carried.

Included are proposals to repeal and further restrict concealed carry permit holders from exercising their Second Amendment protected Natural Right to self defense in and around college campuses. This has brought quite a bit of rebuttal from rape victims around the state.

Some of the legislators have claimed that universities in Colorado have adequate measures to protect women from rape. In essence, the legislation proposes that law enforcement and security personnel on college campuses will do the duty of protecting all potential rape victims, despite several US Supreme Court decisions that state this is an individual responsibility. In fact, these decisions have stated that such duties are beyond those of police.

It appears that gun grabbers in the Colorado Legislature are hell bent on violating this natural right that is protected by the Second Amendment. It is becoming more and more obvious that the Colorado state legislature cares little for the general welfare of its citizens, especially female ones.

I offer this one piece of advice to women in Colorado: MOVE!

The state of Arizona has a female governor. She listens. She understands. She supports the Second Amendment. She supports your right to defend yourself, your property, and your family. Arizona has constitutional carry. That means you can carry open or concealed. Arizona is working towards allowing concealed carry on college campuses. You still have mountains in Arizona as well as some of the most mild and enjoyable weather in the country. Arizona is also home to two great state universities:  University of  Arizona and Arizona State University. Arizona also doesn't subscribe to the demotivating and intrusive practice of changing your clock back and forth during the year. They chose a time zone and stuck with it.

The State of Texas still has "shall issue" laws for concealed carry. However, it is working towards allowing open carry under the same permit requirements. Other proposed legislation may include constitutional open carry in the near future. Texas is also looking to allow concealed carry on college campuses. There is no income tax in Texas. Texas has one of the lowest unemployment rates in the country, far below the national rate. For education, there are great universities including Texas A&M, Texas A&M-San Antonio, University of Texas, and Texas State University. Texas has a coast, mountains, and great music.

Both states respect individual rights, regardless of race or gender. You keep what you earn. Also, most Texans and Arizonans have something that other places seem to be starting to lack:  manners. They will hold the door to you. They will say "howdy". Both are "Right To Work" states, as well.

Since the Colorado Legislature doesn't seem to want you, come on down. We like law abiding citizens who embrace the principles this great nation was founded upon.

51 Killed in Tripoli by Homemade Alcohol

Health officials in Tripoli are blaming alcohol poisoning for the deaths of fifty-one people, since Saturday.

At least three hundred and twenty-seven people are sick from it as well.

All of them are believed to have consumed homemade alcohol, form the same source.

Alcohol is illegal in Libya, leaving the black market, smuggling, or homemade liquor the only sources.
