Over one hundred homes were destroyed, killing one and injuring at least a dozen others.
Hundreds of acres of forest were damaged and power lines were downed throughout the area.
Storms are expected to continue for at least the next couple of days.
Government forces are rushing to the aid of the affected areas in attempts to search for the missing and restore power.
