Guards Save Lives in Iran by Keeping Suicide Bomber Out of Mosque

Guards at the Imam Hossein mosque in Chabahar, Iran saved lives on Friday.

They stopped a suspicious man from entering the mosque and alerted police.

When the man tried running from police he apparently accidentally set off the suicide bomb vest that he was wearing.

Two bystanders were killed and others including police were injured in the blast.

Had the guards not stopped the man, he would've entered a crowded mosque filled with people at prayer.

No one has claimed responsibility for the mostly botched attack, but the Sunni militant Jundallah group is considered a likely suspect, due to their past of bombing Shiite targets.
