The Big East Conference is going to be losing more members, this time in bulk.
Seven of it's members have announced that they will be leaving to found their own, brand new conference.
All seven of them wish the new conference to be a basketball only organization, as none of them have football teams.
The seven schools are: Georgetown, St. John's, Villanova, DePaul, Marquette, Seton Hall, and Providence.
No timetable has yet been set for when they will depart, nor have they announced what their new conference will be called.
It is unclear what this will mean for the future of the Big East.
