Europeans and Americans Warned to Get Out of Benghazi

Several European countries and the US have warned their citizens to get out of Benghazi.

Britain was the first, followed quickly by Germany and the Netherlands, and then the US joined as well.

Citing a "specific and imminent" threat, against Westerners, their governments told people to avoid the city.

They did not share the specifics of the warning, or who it came from, nor why they're singling out Benghazi, rather than all of Libya.

Other western nations are expected to join in the warning.

France and Italy ordered their citizens out of all of Libya, last week, after the deadly hostage taking in Algeria.

Most countries only have a couple dozen citizens in Libya, most of whom are aid workers or teachers.

Benghazi was the scene of the burning of the US consulate, and death of four Americans, last year.
