Paraguayan Presidential Candidate Killed in Helicopter Crash

Paraguayan Presidential candidate Lino Oviedo was killed in a helicopter crash, on Sunday.

A former general, he was recognized by some as a hero, who helped overthrow a dictatorship.

The sixty-nine year old was expected to finish fourth or fifth, in the election, but he was still fighting hard for every vote, traveling to remote locations to speak to villages.

Government officials are promising to investigate the cause of the crash.

For the next three days Paraguay will have a period of morning, and all official activities are cancelled or postponed.
