A man in Belarus was killed by a beaver.
Two men were fishing at Lake Shestakov when they spotted a beaver. One of the men went up to it to take a picture.
When he got too close the beaver it attacked him, biting him twice. One of the bites severed his femoral artery, causing him to bleed to death.
Beaver attacks are rare, with only about a dozen attacks happening a year, in Europe and North America. They are increasing in number as the populations increase, due to the lack of demands for their fur.
