With about twenty-eight thousand acres burned, the Springs Fire has reached thirty percent containment.
Officials do not believe full containment will be accomplished until May 13.
Nearly two thousand firefighters are battling the blaze, which began on Thursday, near Camarillo, California.
Record temperatures, Santa Ana winds, and low humidity contributed to it's quick spread.
Fifteen homes have been lost to the flames and there are around four thousand more in danger.
On Saturday, Point Mugu U.S. Naval Air Station lifted the order for non essential personnel to stay home as smoke, that had covered the base on Friday, cleared out.
