Suicide Bomber Kills 15 in Kabul Including 6 Americans

Fifteen people were killed and thirty-five wounded in a suicide bombing attack in Kabul, Afghanistan, on Thursday.

Six of the dead were Americans, two soldiers and four civilian contractors, who were the target of the attack.

Hezb-e-Islami, a militia group with thousands of soldiers, claimed responsibility for the bombing and promised more in the future.

Gubuddin Hekmatyar, a former prime minister, of Afghanistan, leads the group. He and Mullah Omar, the leader of the Taliban, are bitter enemies.

The attack brought the number of US troops killed, in Afghanistan, to forty-five, since the beginning of the year. A total of fifty-eight ISAF troops have been lost during 2013.
