It began on Friday afternoon, when police officers conducting a wellness check found a body at a home.
They were going to investigate further when they were confronted by a man with a gun, and they backed off.
Since then police have surrounded the home, and been joined by the FBI.
Authorities believe that the man has three hostages, ages 17, 14, and 4.
The man has already killed the children's mother and thirteen year old brother.
Police hope to talk the man into releasing his hostages and surrendering, before anyone else is hurt.
