A curfew has been ordered for N'Zerekore, Guinea's second largest city and troops have been ordered to the surrounding area.
On Monday, clashes began between the Guerze and Konianke tribes.
Since then, fifty-four have been killed, at least one hundred and thirty have been injured, and forty-seven have been arrested.
