Yemen's Government Claims Thwarting of Al Qaeda Plot

Officials in Yemen claim that they have thwarted a major Al Qaeda plot.

According to the officials, they stopped plans to take major parts of the oil and gas industry, at Al-Dabbah.

Al Qaeda had gained dozens of Yemeni military uniforms, are were planning to use them to infiltrate the facilities and take the provincial capital.

Authorities also published a new list of Al Qaeda leaders and offered a reward of five million riyals for their capture.

The Yemeni government believes that this plot was the major one that put the US and other western governments into a scare which shut down embassies across the Muslim world.
