5 Killed in Tiananmen Square Accident

Five people were killed and thirty-eight injured in Tiananmen Square, in Beijing.

A car lost control, crashed into the crowd, and burst into flames.

Three of those killed were inside the car.

Chinese officials announced that a full investigation was underway.

Oddly, Chinese police refused to allow any press to film the accident, blocking international reporters from the scene.

A few photos did hit the internet, but most were quickly taken down by the Chinese government.

Only those posted internationally survived the purge.

Neither the government nor police had any comment on why they chose to limit information about the accident.
