Cyclone Kills Over 100 in Puntland

Over one hundred people were killed by a tropical cyclone, in Puntland.

The storm, which began on Saturday, is expected to continue through at least Wednesday.

Officials estimate that more than one hundred thousand head of livestock were killed by flooding.

Hundreds of fishing boats have been destroyed or swept out to sea.

Until after the storm is over, no real idea of damages will be known.

Political difficulties between the Puntland regional government and Somalia's national government have made the area dependent solely on it's own resources for rescue efforts.
