It happened about noon MST in Colorado Springs, on Monday.
Staff Sgt. David C. Dunlap, thirty-seven, and his wife Whitney Dunlap, thirty-five were found dead Monday afternoon.
Colorado Springs police are investigating the double homicide.
According to authorities, neither had a concealed weapons license.
Dunlap had served in the Army for over ten years, and had been transferred to Fort Carson, in November.
His military honors include: Iraqi Campaign Medal with Campaign Star, Valorous Unit Award, Meritorious Service Medal, and Army Commendation Medal.
