1 Killed 44 Injured by Bomb in Tanzanian Catholic Church

One person was killed and forty-four injured when a bomb exploded at a Catholic church, in northern Tanzania.

Archbishop Francisco Montecillo Padilla, an envoy from the Vatican had been attending the opening mass for the church in Arusha, but he was unhurt.

Tanzanian officials believe he may have been the target of the bomb.

No one has claimed responsibility for the attack, but authorities believe it was the work of local Muslims with links to Al Qaeda.
