Private First Class Errol D. A. Milliard, eighteen of Birmingham, Alabama, died on July 4.
He was killed by a rocket propelled grenade in Farah province, Afghanistan.
It was his first deployment.
Milliard was assigned to the 2nd Engineer Battalion, 36th Engineer Brigade out of White Sands Missile Range, New Mexico.
His decorations include: Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Ribbon, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, NATO Medal, Afghanistan Campaign Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Good Conduct Medal, a posthumous Purple Heart, and a posthumous Bronze Star.
