Firefighter Killed in Oregon

A firefighter died in Oregon, on Thursday, fighting a fire near Mt. Washington, when a tree fell on him and another firefighter.

The other firefighter was taken to the hospital after being struck on the shoulder.

Sixty year old Jim Hammick, became the twenty-eight firefighter to be killed this year.

Over four thousand firefighters are currently battling forty fires in the state of Oregon alone.
