On Tuesday, the United States Marine Corps announced that one Marine was killed and four others injured in a training accident, on Monday morning.
The accident occurred at the Air Ground Combat Center at Twentynine Palms, in Southern California.
It is unclear why they waited a full day before making the announcement.
They have not yet released the names of the Marines involved.
Nor are they discussing what occurred, other than to say it is under investigation.
A source, on the base, tells us that an armored vehicle caught on fire and that the five Marines were it's crew.
