Dozens of Fires Burning in South Australia and Victoria

Conditions in Australia remain perfect for a dangerous fire season.

High temperatures are combining with lightning to have created nearly a thousand fires, over the past week.

South Australia and Victoria are taking the brunt of the fires, with the two states hosting more than six hundred of them.

As of Wednesday, firefighters had put out all but fourteen of the blazes in South Australia and twenty-nine still burned in Victoria.

Eleven people have been injured by the fires, including ten firefighters.

Worries are that Friday will bring stronger winds, only increasing the danger.
