Tokyo elected a new mayor, on Sunday.
By electing Yoichi Masuzoe they also seemed to approve of bringing back and possibly increasing nuclear power.
Masuzoe, a former cabinet minister, beat out fifteen other candidates, and took thirty percent of the vote.
He is a strong advocate of nuclear power and his two main opponents are against using it to power the country.
The sixty-five year old mayor is also expected to continue pushing Tokyo's, and Japan's, ownership of islands that China has been trying to claim as their own.
However, Masuzoe needs to prove himself to the women of Tokyo, as he has a past of harsh comments about women.
