Kim Jong Un's Mystery Woman Revealed

Kim Jong Un's mystery woman has been revealed, her name is Ri Sol Ju.

Apparently Ri is not his girlfriend, she's actually his wife of three years.

The two also have at least one child together.

Ri is twenty-seven and is a graduate of the Kim Il Sung University graduate school.

It is unclear why North Korea chose now to release her identity.

Arizona has John Wayne as a soldier who has to face the girl he jilted now that she’s the wife of his commanding officer. Ten Cents a Dance has Barbara Stanwyck as a dance hall girl stuck with a no-good man and the prospect of a great rich guy, but divorce was a big no-no back in this day. In Virtue, cabbie Pat O’Brien discovers that the sweet Carole Lombard he married used to be a prostitute. In Three Wise Girls Jean Harlow is a small town girl who wants to be a model, but has to face big city predators, pitfalls, desires and temptations. Shopworn sees Barbara Stanwyck falling for a high class dude whose mother frames her and gets her sent to prison. Joke’s on the upper crust though, when Barbara gets out and makes it big. Lots of extras in this set, including pictures and documents.

Singing in The Rain. This is a 60th-anniversary Ultimate Collector’s Edition of the popular musical, newly remastered and loaded with special features including loads of commentary from stars and experts, plus a documentary.

Two John Garfield noirs featuring meaty plots and Garfield’s always great acting. In Force of Evil Garfield is a mob lawyer involved in cornering the state lotteries and ends up on the opposite side of his brother whose honesty prevents him from playing along. This postwar picture of New York was a big favorite of and influence on Martin Scorsese. In Body and Soul Garfield plays a boxer who lets the wins go to his head.

In the sci-fi classic Invasion of the Body Snatchers, doctor Kevin McCarthy finds the paranoia of his small town patients hard to believe; they insist their friends and family are not at all normal or who they seem, and turns out there’s good reason for it, since the aliens are taking the form of the town’s denizens and replacing them. Directed by Don “Dirty Harry” Seigel, and widely taken as a metaphor for the insidiousness mind numbing and scary groupthink of collectivism and Communism, as witnessed and feared during the height of the Cold War. Also with Dana Wynter and Carolyn Jones, the first wife of TV king Aaron Spelling.

Bale Visits Victims of Aurora Shooting

Christian Bale made a trip to Aurora, Colorado to visit with the victims of Friday's shooting.

Twelve people were killed and fifty eight were injured in the attack.

The shooting took place at a midnight premier of Bale's latest film, The Dark Knight Rises.

Bale's appearance has been a huge lift of morale to victims, their families, and the staffs of the hospitals.

His picture seems to show how all of Aurora, if not Colorado, feels about the shooting.

We're a little hurt by it, but we're determined; We won't forget those lost or hurt by the vicious crime, but we will move on, and be stronger yet.

This one of my favorite pictures of the memorial that has popped up.

Because of the tragedy there is now a cross in front of the Aurora city hall.

Our faith in humanity may have been challenged, but the area's faith in God has only grown stronger.

That is something no one can take from us, no matter what they do.

Los Angeles Bans Marijuana Dispensaries

Los Angeles' city council voted on Tuesday to completely ban marijuana dispensaries.

City officials estimate that currently there are almost a thousand open throughout the city.

Councilman Mitchell Englander said, "Los Angeles has experimented with marijuana and has failed" and that it is time "to start with a clean slate".

In 1996, California voters approved medical marijuana use, with a recommendation from a doctor.

LA attempted to ban the shops in 2009, but that was struck down by appeals court which said that the state law allowed for it, so the city couldn't ban them.

The city is hoping that the Supreme Court will agree with them that local laws trump state ones, in the same way state ones are supposed to count more than federal.

Mars One

Mars One has a goal, sending humans to live on Mars, by 2023.

The Dutch company plans to hold a world wide lottery, of those interested, to select forty people for a training team.

A mock colony will be set up, in a US desert, where the team will train, until the best ten have been selected.

Those ten will be the first crew sent to Mars, with the rest to begin joining them every two years.

They will be preceded, by a habitat, as well as various supplies, starting in 2016.

Funding for the project will come from a reality TV series, to be centered on the selection process for the crew.

For all that go on the trip, there will be no planned return, this will only be a one way trip.

NASA researchers warn that the team will have to be carefully screened by psychiatrists, and given psychological training to be able to deal with the long term separation from the masses of humanity.

The project still faces many issues, such as how the colonists will grow food, and how they'll cross the thirty-four million miles between the two planets.

Costs for the missions will easily exceed five billion dollars.

Syrian Forces Launch All Out Attack on Aleppo

A Syrian armored column left their fortified positions in the Jabal al-Zawiya highlands, and headed to Aleppo, Wednesday morning.



Opposition forces reacted to the move, of national troops, by attacking the rear of the column.

Thousands of Syrian troops were part of the column, which is joining Syrian air power in attacking the largest city in the country.

All throughout Tuesday helicopters, artillery, and mortars were fired into the city.

Reports, that couldn't be confirmed, said that jets were also used in the attack.


Major attacks were also launched in the capital of Damascus, as the government tries to squelch the rebellion against their rule.

Obama Picks Up Major Endorsement

Sunday saw President Obama pick up a major endorsement on his campaign trail.

President Hugo Chavez of Venezuela, on his own campaign trail, called Obama a "good guy" and went on to say that Obama was who he wanted in as US President.

He compared his opponent, Henrique Capriles, to Mitt Romney, saying both were from the extreme right wing, which promotes fascism.

Romney has repeatedly called Chavez a danger to the US, whilst Obama has said he is not a security threat.

Chavez constantly calls the US an empire, and attempts to set himself up as the leader of South America, mostly by countering US policies.

The Venezuelan President has instituted many socialist policies in his country, and nationalized many industries.

Peg Perego Stroller Recall

The US Consumer Product Safety Commission has issued a recall of around 223,000 Peg Perego strollers.


In certain models there is a risk of entrapment and strangulation, which has caused at least one death.


Venezia and Pliko-P3 strollers, manufactured between January 2004 and September 2007, are the models being recalled.

John Atta Mills; Dead at 68

John Atta Mills, the President of Ghana, died Tuesday at the age of sixty-eight.

President Mills died suddenly of a short illness, according to the President's office.

Vice President John Dramani Mahama took the oath of office Tuesday evening, in Ghana.

Mills, a former economics professor, was only in his first term in office, starting in 2009, after serving as Vice President from 1997-2001.

He brought the country into the ranks of the world's top oil producers.

Gun Sales Soar After Shooting

Colorado gun sales and background checks have climbed dramatically since the shooting in Aurora, on Friday.

According to the Colorado Bureau of Investigation, they approved 2,887 background checks over the weekend.


That number is an increase of forty-three percent over the previous weekend, and thirty-nine percent over the same weekend last year.

Interest in concealed carry licenses have also seen a huge increase.

Classes which were half empty, are now over flowing and booked through most of August.


It is common for numbers to jump immediately after a mass shooting, such as the one Friday.


Dramatic increases have occurred after every major shooting in the US, since records were kept.
