They have closed their embassy in Tehran.
Foreign Minister Baird announced Friday morning that "diplomatic relations between Canada and Iran have been suspended."
He went on further to call Iran "the most significant threat to global peace and security in the world today".
All Iranian diplomatic staff will be expelled, within the next five days.
