He was looking to pool money so that a bulk buy could be arranged.
However he made one error, one of the number's he texted was a wrong number.
That number belonged to a Lewiston police officer, who at first thought it was a joke text from another officer.
Once the officer proved it wasn't from a colleague, he set up a meet, offering $150 to get in on a meth purchase.
At the meet, on Wednesday, police arrested thirty-seven year old Aaron D. Templeton on conspiracy to purchase meth.
