From the Boston area, Abousmara is accused of conspiracy to provide material support to Al Qaeda.
He, and coconspirator Taerk Mehanna, traveled repeatedly to Pakistan and Yemen for meetings with Al Qaeda members.
Mehanna was convicted on terrorism charges, in December 2011, and is currently serving out his seventeen year sentence.
Abousamra escaped the country, and was last seen in Aleppo, Syria.
