President Morsi says that all the people need to do is vote to accept it.
Morsi himself just needs sign it and then to hold a referendum within fifteen days.
However, it has not been enough to appease the more than one hundred thousand people protesting Morsi's government, in Tahrir Square and elsewhere across the country.
Protesters are saying the new constitution won't be passed as they don't trust the assembly, due to the overwhelming majority that the Muslim Brotherhood has.
The protests began when Morsi seized powers, last Thursday, to a degree which led him to be called dictator and a new pharaoh.
Judges and lawyers went on strike, after Morsi decreed that not even the highest court could over rule his decrees or remove the assembly from power.
He promised to back down, after supposedly making a deal with judges, but never did so.
