Al Shabaab Attack on UN Headquarters Leaves 16 Dead

Sixteen people were killed when members of Al Shabaab attacked the UN headquarters in Mogadishu, on Wednesday.

Most of those killed belonged to the Somali militants, which are allied to Al Qaeda.

The attack which, resulted in a ninety minute firefight, was proof by Al Shabaab that they are still to be dealt with.

UN peacekeepers were joined by African Union peacekeepers and Somali security forces, in fending off the attackers.
