A lightning strike sparked the fire, Tuesday afternoon.
Pushed by winds it quickly grew burning down homes and other buildings.
Officials were able to evacuate the communities before the fire reached the houses, avoiding any injuries or loss of life.
By Wednesday afternoon it was up to twelve hundred acres.
Over two hundred more homes are threatened by the flames and have been evacuated.
Four helicopters and one hundred firefighters are battling the blaze.
