Spaniards Protest Austerity Measures

Thousands of Spaniards protested all over the country, on Saturday.

They were continuing their protests of the government's austerity measures.

Spending cuts and tax hikes have driven unemployment over twenty-six percent.

Spain's recession has been going for a year and a half now and has been the cause of many business closures.

Organizers chose February 23 as it is the anniversary of an attempted coup.

Moris Moves Date for Egypt's Election

President Morsi has already changed the dates of the Egyptian election.

Just days ago he decreed that the first round of the election would be held on April 27.

On Saturday, he moved them up to April 22, after complaints that the original date was too close to Easter.

The elections will take place in four rounds, with the last one happening on June 19 and 20.

Some opposition groups are threatening to boycott the elections.

Other groups point out that doing so would just guarantee that they wouldn't win.

US Grounds All F35 Fighters

The US has grounded it's entire fleet of F35 fighters.

A crack was found in an engine blade on an Air Force F35, at Edwards Air Force Base, in California.

As a precaution the Pentagon ordered the immediate grounding of all F35s, in every branch.

The grounding will be lifted, once all planes have been inspected, the cause of the problem has discovered, and a fix has been found.

Medical Helicopter Crashes in Oklahoma City

Two people were killed an a third injured when a helicopter crashed, on Friday.

The medical helicopter crashed in northwest Oklahoma City.

Everyone involved in the crash, was aboard the helicopter.

Investigators are trying to decide what caused the accident.

Larayedh Named New Tunisian Prime Minister

Interior Minister Ali Larayedh has been named the new Prime Minister of Tunisia.

Larayedh will have two weeks to form a new government, or face replacement.

Hopes are that internal disputes in Ennahda will now stop and that he will form a government which will end protests by the opposition.

He replaces Hamadi Jbeli, who resigned on Hamadi Jbeli, who resigned on Tuesday.

100 US Troops in Niger

The United States has sent one hundred troops to Niger.

They are there as preparation for a drone base to be built.

The base is being designed to back up French troops in Mali.

It is but yet another statement of how long the war there is expected to last.

Pakistan Arrests Terrorist Leader

Pakistan announced that it arrested Malik Ishaq, on Friday.

Ishaq is the cofounder of Lashkar e Jhangvi, which claimed responsibility for last week's bombing attack that killed over one hundred people.

It is unknown if Pakistan will actually try Ishaq, now that he is in custody.

He has been arrested for terrorist actions in the past, but judges have refused to prosecute him, as they fear him too much.

Islamic Protesters Clash With Police in Bangladesh

Islamic protesters clashed with police in Bangladesh, on Friday.

Protesters threw rocks, bottles, and other objects at police officers who responded with tear gas.

Two people were killed and at least one hundred injured, in the violence.

The protests were organized in reaction to Sunday's decision to try leaders of Jamaat-e-Islami for war crimes.

Jamaat, the leading Islamic political party, was joined by their alliance of eleven other Islamic parties.

Suicide Bombers Attack Malian Rebel Headquarters

A pair of suicide bombers struck the Malian town of Tessalit, on Friday.

The bombers and three other people were killed in the blasts.

In what might be a show of divisions between rebel forces and Al Qaeda, the target seemed to be a rebel headquarters.

A split between the groups could be good news for the Malian government.

It could mean the rebels would reunite with the government, to remove Al Qaeda, or it could simply mean a three way war.

Chinese Treats Allegedly Making Dogs Sick

Dingo Chip Twists boast real chicken that dogs will love. Your dog may not love the treats so much after suffering ill effects occurring after the treats hit your pup's digestive tract.

Chicken flavored dog treats made in China may have caused severe digestive tract illnesses in over nine hundred reported canines. The FDA confirmed that complaints have continued to pour in. The agency stated it conducted an investigation. However, they do not normally screen or test pet food or treats.

As many as five hundred cases of digestive tract infections have now been blamed on Dingo Chip Twists, specifically.

One dog owner stated that he bought the treats for his dog, a normally healthy and sturdy lab-mix. Since, vets bills have passed one hundred and ninety dollars. The dog has been placed on a special diet, which costs even more, to help the dog fight the infection. His dog has been on that special diet, but it has not yet resulted in much improvement. The dog was at a healthy weight of sixty-three pounds before the affliction. In the past couple of days, the pup has lost about ten percent of his body weight, dropping to just under fifty-seven pounds.

Under the warning section for the treats posted on Walgreen's website is included a statement for humans to wash hands immediately after handling the treats. This should set off alarms. Should the treats not be safe for humans to handle, perhaps they shouldn't be fed to a dog. 

"Always provide plenty of clean fresh drinking water and visit your veterinarian regularly. Wash hands thoroughly after handling treats."
