6 Killed 13 Injured in Philadelphia Building Collapse

Officials in Philadelphia updated the toll, from a building collapse, to six dead and thirteen injured.

A four story building, which was under demolition, collapsed and fell onto a neighboring Salvation Army store.

Investigators are trying to determine what caused the collapse.

In a sudden investigation of the construction company, that was carrying out the demolition, authorities found two of their four sites had safety violations.

Authorities have shut down all of the company's sites, while the investigation continues.

Austria Withdrawing From Golan Heights Peacekeeping Force

Austria has announced that they will be pulling their troops out of the UN peacekeepers in the Golan Heights.

UN forces are there as part of a mission to ensure peace between Israel and Syria.

However, recently violence from the Syrian civil war has spread to the border area.

The government of Austria does not want to see it's troops killed, whether accidentally or purposefully, in someone else's war.

Officials at the UN are highly worried over the withdrawal as Austria's troops make up three hundred and eighty of the thousand strong force.

14 Injured by Philadelphia Building Collapse

A building collapsed in downtown Philadelphia, on Wednesday morning.

Fourteen people were injured, one of whom was still trapped Wednesday afternoon.

Emergency personnel are working to rescue the trapped person, who they do not believe to be seriously injured.

The four story building was in the process of being demolished when it became unstable and crashed down onto a neighboring thrift store.

US Army: 2nd Lieutenant Justin L. Sisson

2nd Lieutenant Justin L. Sisson, twenty-three of Phoenix, Arizona, died on June 3.

He was killed by a suicide bomber, in Tsamkani, Afghanistan.

Sisson was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 506th Infantry Regiment, 4th Brigade Combat Team, 101st Airborne Division out of Fort Campbell, Kentucky.

His decorations include: Bronze Star, Army Achievement Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon, and Sapper Badge.

US Army: Specialist Robert A. Pierce

Specialist Robert A. Pierce, twenty of Panama, Oklahoma, died on June 3.

He was killed by a suicide bomber, in Tsamkani, Afghanistan.

Pierce was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 506th Infantry Regiment, 4th Brigade Combat Team, 101st Airborne Division out of Fort Campbell, Kentucky.

His decorations include the Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal.

US Army: Staff Sergeant Job M. Reigoux

Staff Sergeant Job M. Reigoux, thirty of Austin, Texas, died on June 1.

He was killed when his unit was attacked in Ghanzi Province, Afghanistan.

Reigoux was assigned to the 3rd Battalion, 69th Armor Regiment, 1st Brigade Combat Team, 3rd Infantry Division out of Fort Stewart, Georgia.

7 Injured in Explosion at New York College

Seven people were injured when an explosion tore through a building on a college campus, in New York.

It happened Tuesday morning, on the campus of Nyack College.

None of the injuries were believed to be serious.

The cause of the explosion is under investigation, but it is believed to have been caused by natural gas.

Warrant Officer Sean W. Mullen, thirty-nine of Dover, Delaware, died on June 2.

He was killed when his unit was attacked with an improvised explosive device, in Lashkar Gah, Afghanistan.

Mullen was assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 5th Special Forces Group (Airborne) out of Fort Campbell, Kentucky.

Bluebell Fire Causes Nearly 10,000 Evacuation Notices in Colorado

For part of Monday a mass evacuation was ordered for part of Jefferson County, Colorado.

A small fire began raging out of control, causing authorities to send evacuation notices to nearly ten thousand phone numbers.

Within an hour of it's start it had jumped up to over twenty acres,

Quick response from fire fighters saved homes, and knocked the Bluebell Fire back.

They were aided in the fight by a helicopter and tanker.

Over one hundred homes are still evacuated, as of Monday night.

Firefighters expect to have the fire completely contained and controlled, by Tuesday afternoon.

Authorities are investigating the cause of the fire.
