Adam J. Holder escaped from the John H. L. Lilley correctional facility in Boley, Oklahoma, early Wednesday morning.
He then proceeded steal a fire truck from the nearby fire house.
Holder drove onto the H.E. Baily Turnpike, and told the gate keeper that he was delivering the truck to a fire department in Missouri.
The gate keeper was suspicious so called the police after Holder had gone through.
Holder was serving fifteen years for convictions that include: auto theft, concealing stolen property, possession of a controlled substance (meth), possession of a stolen vehicle, and second degree burglary.
