Texas Abortion Bill Delayed by Senator's Filibuster

Texas state Senator Wendy Davis filibustered for ten hours, as she did her best to block an abortion limiting law from being voted on.

Her best was enough, for now.

The bill will be back, as soon as the Texas senate meets again, and will be passed, as the number of votes needed are clearly there.

It was passed by the Texas house, on Monday.

The senate previously passed it, but the house made one addition, requiring the second vote from the Senate.

Davis objected to a ban on abortions after twenty wees into the pregnancy.

Such a limit has already been passed by twelve states.

Some political analysts are of the opinion that Davis made her filibuster for no other reason than to gain notice for herself, on the national stage.
