Bear Wanders Highlands Ranch

Coyote Creek Elementary School, in Highlands Ranch, Colorado, was temporarily put on lock down, Wednesday, due to a bear in the area.

First reported around 7:30am, the bear wandered through western Highlands Ranch, most of the morning.

Douglas County Sheriffs eventually caught up with it and wildlife officers were brought in.

They were able to tranquilize the bear and moved it out of the city.
