Spanish Protests Turn Violent Again

Thousands of Spanish protesters surrounded Parliament, as the government debated another set of austerity measures.

Protesters blocked police from gaining access to the building.

When more police came and attempted to force their way through the crowds, things turned violent.

Twenty-eight protesters and four police were hurt in the fighting, which included clubs, rocks, tear gas, pepper spray, and rubber bullets.
