Coast Guard Says NYC Blocking Gas From Stations

Mayor Bloomberg and the New York City government are griping about the lack of oil and gas available, after super storm Sandy.

However, the US Coast Guard gives a different story.

According the USCG there are four tankers full of ready to go gasoline, and another four with crude oil aboard, sitting in New York City's harbor.

What are they waiting on? New York City hasn't lifted traffic restrictions that would allow tug boats and barges to either pull the tankers in or transfer the fuel themselves.

That's about two million barrels of fuel, or sixty three million gallons, just waiting to go to gas stations.
