Delaware Becomes 11th State to Legalize Same Sex Marriage

Markell
Delaware's Senate voted on Tuesday afternoon to pass a bill legalizing same sex marriage.

Governor Jack Markell has already promised to sign it, as soon as it gets to his desk.

By passing the bill, Delaware will become the eleventh state to legalize marriages between same sex couples.

The state already allows for same sex civil unions, so the bill won't add any more legal rights.

It simply allows for the term married to legally be used.
