He and four others were killed when their vehicle struck an improvised explosive device, near Maiwand, Afghanistan.
It was his second tour of duty, between Afghanistan and Iraq.
Landrum was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 36th Infantry, 1st Brigade Combat Team, 1st Armored Division out of Fort Bliss, Texas.
Among his completed courses were: Infantry Basic Officer Leaders Course and Airborne School.
His decorations include: Bronze Star, Purple Heart, Army Commendation Medal, Army Achievement Medal with one Oak Leaf Cluster, Army Good Conduct Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Iraq Campaign Medal with Campaign Star, Afghan Campaign Medal with Campaign Star, NATO Medal, and Combat Infantryman Badge.
